Farm Trans streamlines the supply chain for a more efficient export process to the UK

Farm Trans has been providing bulk and conditioned transport to the UK for many years. Although Brexit posed challenges for many companies, Farm Trans managed to overcome these challenges and has since achieved growth, with increased shipments to the UK. However, this did not happen without adjustments to the supply chain. Together with the customs agent and Cape Group, an in-house application was developed using the Mendix low-code platform to streamline the export process to the UK.
The system processes all data from order management, to transport, to receiving goods. The original aim was to improve the export process, but the process of importing goods to the UK is also evolving. In this way, Farm Trans makes its services ever-more efficient, with less room for error and saving valuable time.
